I went into computer science because there is nothing I love more than the chance to lay down some quality code. That’s what the entire industry is about, for me. As far as I am concerned everything we do at any company I work for is nothing more than an excuse to write some code.

If, at the end of the day, I’m not proud of what I checked in to the version control system, I feel I am wasting my time regardless of how much my management might value my contribution for that day.
