On the side of an art studio where Ridge Avenue meets Spring Garden, there used to be a fantastic painting that let everyone know that Mitch Hedberg was an amazing comedian who deserved to be celebrated.

Now, Mitch Hedberg has been replaced with the image of another awesome person, Jack Nance from the movie “Eraserhead”, which was made by filmmaker David Lynch. Lynch is the artistic genius behind such movies as Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, and Blue Velvet

Lynch’s films are often very surreal, and he had a very unique relationship with Philadelphia, as evidenced by this earlier LOLadelphia post.
