TEDDI AND THE NORTHERN LIGHTS – DEATH MASK (click photo to listen)

A fresh take on the recent upsurgence of Southern/blues as-played-by-urbanites music by one of Philly’s vets, Teddi and the Northern Lights. Teddi Tarnoff’s vocal prowess combined with co-writer Gina Gleason’s inventive (and totally badass) shred-style guitar playing, you won’t feel like this is yet another generic ”Black Keys” blues influenced band but instead will be pleasantly surprised by the integrity of this track. Teddi and the band are going into the studio at the end of this month to record. Check out their website (which also has a kickstarter to help fund it, if you’re into that), and the rest of their demos up on Bandcamp.
