Farrels Designed the Tallest Building in Shenzhen: 442-metre Kingkey 100 Skyscraper

Currently the Kingkey 100 Skyscraper is the tallest building in Shenzhen and tenth tallest in the world. It is situated on the edge of Shenzhen’s CBD and sets a new precedent for the successful 21st century transformation of commercial districts into vibrant and enriching environments. Completed at the end of 2011, the financial office tower was designed with a curving glass body and pointed tip. The curtain wall facade curls up at the base of the building to create a canopy over the entrance to the offices, while a shopping centre branches out from the other side. A hotel occupies the uppermost 25 floors of the 100-storey tower.
