The second floor space has served as a cafeteria and sit-down lunch area – kind of an extension of the grab-and-go setup in their massive downstairs grocery – but it will soon feature two bars, one for snacks like cheese, charcuterie, pizza, and salads and one for wine, beer, and cocktails. The menu, created by the store’s executive chef Caitlin Mateo, will highlight Italian cheeses and olive oils you’ll be able to find downstairs, and the pizza oven will be imported to serve up square, Roman-style pizza.
