Thousands of years ago, King Midas was the mighty ruler of the Phrygian kingdom, an area that is now known as Turkey. King Midas is a well-known figure in Greek mythology, as many stories tell the tale of his golden touch, but was also a real-life ruler that influenced society immensely.

The Penn Museum organized a world-premiere exhibition that features more than 120 artifacts that give visitors a look at the real King Midas, along with a few of the tales, too.
