OMG! Best. Grilled cheese. Evar!

Seriously. Tried this out for the first time, today. I had the Valley Thunder (Valley Shepherd “Valley Thunder” cheddar, Bubbe’s brisket and baked macaroni & our cheese), I had the choice of plain or ketchup potato chips as the accompaniment. I chose plain, just because ketchup chips just sounded a tiny bit too homespun-fabulous to me. I also allowed them to add bacon and grill the sandwich in bacon fat, just because the flesh of one animal wasn’t enough to sate my bitter Monday lunchtime hunger. I washed all this down with a cup of excellent root beer. Shamefully, I didn’t record the brand. It was awesome, though. [Edit: It was Boylan Bttle Co. fountain soda, according to the @meltkraft twitter feed.]

It seemed like they were simultaneously grilling and steaming the sandwiches, somehow. Mine came out with beautiful brown grill lines. The bread had that nice, toasty crunch on the outside, but was still very supple on the inside. The cheese was well melted, though, and the brisket and bacon were hot and tasty on the inside.

All in all, a slightly pricey Monday lunch at $13.50, but really delicious and satisfying. I would return, and definitely would bring a friend.
